I like to be active — running, biking, hiking — but I am cognizant that, as I age, it is important to pay more attention to addressing little injuries and fine-tuning daily routines so I can stay ready to move, before problems compound into injuries that derail not just my training, but my life. I went to Dr. Augustyn to address a running pain issue, but came away with a lot more: In addition to fixing the injury, he helped me develop daily strength, conditioning, and stretching routines — a few quick additions to my day that have left me stronger, more flexible, and noticeably faster on both the bike and my feet. I highly recommend him!

In November 2020 I tore my bicep, and required surgery to reattach the tendon. Divan was there from before the surgery to reassure me and talk me through what was happening, and he said something I did not believe at the time. He told me I would end up stronger than I had started. Divan created a personalized workout plan, and guided me even when the pandemic required remote contact, and he dynamically adjusted my routine week after week and month after month, until less than a year later I am, as promised, stronger than before the injury. He was indeed more than a physical therapist, he was a trainer and coach as well. Last November I had orthopedic surgery that rendered my right arm essentially useless, and this morning I did pull ups. On 12 September, I will run a marathon. I would definitely say I owe that to Divan, but mainly because he is patient, and he directed the healing and strength training process at the right pace for me. He never rushed change, and I am in better shape today than I have ever been, because of that. The surgery was a wake up call, and Divan made it into a lasting agent of change for me.

Thank you for all of your wonderful help with my shoulder. It is at 99.9% functioning after all of your treatment! Certainly a much better route to take (good physiotherapy) than having to have surgery, which as you know, was what the orthopedist recommended. Your positive attitude, professionalism, dedication, and extensive knowledge were so evident and appreciated, and we all miss you dearly.

Divan is a great coach who pushed me daily to my limits. He took time for me to work on my weaknesses but also made my strengths better. He was a good balance between human and being a machine which means he listens, he pushes but he understands the situation you are in. He has a lot of experience with different sports which helped me to improve my fitness.
Ich habe sehr viel von Divan gelernt. Außerhalb des Platzes hat er mich Individuell besser gemacht, speziell im Bereich: {Power, Schnellkraft und Stabilität. Seine Arbeit ist sehr vielseitig und er ist sehr gut Ausgebildet Medizinisch und Vor allem im Bereich Persönlichkeitsentwicklung. Seine Motivation bringt einen täglich an neue Limits.
